Lay The Terms

Trust and scam signals

Scam Risk Scanner

Lay The Terms checks the text you provide for scam-style indicators such as refund traps, suspicious payment pressure, cancellation friction, dark patterns, and mismatched marketing promises.

What the scan can flag

The Trust & Scam Scan looks for risky payment language, impossible guarantees, vague refund rights, forced urgency, unusual cancellation barriers, aggressive data collection, and claims that do not match the terms.

What it does not prove

A text scan does not verify company registration, ownership, domain age, third-party reviews, chargeback history, government records, or whether fraud has occurred.

Best use case

Use it as an early warning layer before paying a new website, joining a subscription, buying from an unfamiliar store, or accepting terms that feel suspicious.
